Mindy has been with GoodLife for three and a half years. Mindy started with GoodLife as our Douglas County Neighborhood Network Site Director after working with individuals with disabilities as a house parent for 6 years during college. Her practicum unexpectedly placed her in the aging world, which she fell in love with. Mindy successfully opened an independent living facility in Lawrence, was a social worker for a nursing home, and served as the Director of Admissions at a continuum of care facility. Her passion then took her to the hospice world. Being part of a resident’s (and their families lives) during such a pivotal time was a unique cherished opportunity for Mindy. Now, Mindy brings her expertise to the position of Regional Director of Neighborhood Network Services.
