We are proud to announce that GoodLife was the recipient of a $50,000 award from the Deffenbaugh Foundation to support our GoodLife Employee Engagement and Advocate Initiative. We face an ongoing and unmitigated challenge related to the nation-wide direct support workforce crisis, so this year, one of our most important projects focuses on improving the quality of life of our direct support professionals (DSPs).
Thanks to this award from the Deffenbaugh Foundation, we will work to meaningfully 1) increase job satisfaction, 2) improve on-the-job support, 3) reduce early turnover (turnover in the first 90 days); 4) increase the pipeline of new direct support professional talent; and 5) increase access to and improve utilization of an offering of unique benefits designed specifically for the DSP workforce. We are so grateful for our partners at the Deffenbaugh Foundation who provided critical capacity for us to launch and expand this important initiative that will improve the quality of life of our DSPs at a critical time. Stay tuned for more information about this initiative to follow in 2023.
