Our Mission, Vision, and Values
The Reason We Exist.
GoodLife’s vision is to redefine what’s possible for supporting people to live independent, satisfying and purposeful lives. Our mission is to make a meaningful difference in the everyday lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those who support them by transforming lives through deep relationships, learning, respect, innovation, exceeding expectations and achieving results.
Our Care Model
How we care starts with a well-selected neighborhood. Our neighborhoods are then staffed with strong volunteer networks (Vibrant Village), remote support technologies (iLink), and next-door caregivers (Professional Neighbors) so we can deliver affordable, high-quality, sustainable private care.
Outcome-Based Training and Quality Assurance
If your loved one is receiving services, here’s what you can expect:
First, we work with you and your loved one to help you both decide what services are needed and what goals to work towards.
Second, your loved one’s care is fully customized to their needs and we check-in regularly to adjust their care as needed.
Finally, throughout your care, we live up to 11 quality standards that we believe contribute to a fulfilling life.
THESE ARE OUR STANDARDS:
Pleasant and safe surroundings
Observance of legal and personal rights
Positive relationships with others
Opportunities for choice and control
Effective learning opportunities
High level of participation in daily experiences
Pleasant social environment
How we provide care is based on research supported by our partnership with The University of Kansas Applied Behavioral Sciences department and over 40 years of experience serving those with disabilities.
Our quality assurance model is nationally regarded and evidence-based. We compare the quality of our service with our 11 standards and your loved one’s personalized care plan and goals to make sure we’re providing the best care possible. Our approach includes training, coaching, professional evaluations, and consumer satisfaction evaluations that all come together as a certification program.
