GoodLife and partner, Community Village Lawrence, attended The Lawrence Area Partners in Aging Senior Resource Fair at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence on Tuesday.
This is LAPA’s 16th annual Senior Resource Fair and the turnout was excellent. The fair included about 45 businesses and organizations and many Lawrence residents showed up to get more information on the resources available for aging adults. This free event is designed to educate individuals about resources they may need now or in the future.
Our team had a wonderful time speaking with visitors about volunteer opportunities with Community Village Lawrence and the services available for aging adults through our program.
Community Village Lawrence is dedicated to helping aging adults live independently as long as possible. The program is made up of a network of volunteers who provide social, educational, and physical activities for members according to their interests. Volunteers may serve on a regular or occasional basis and volunteer skills, interest, and availability are matched to fit the needs of our members.
