For decades, we’ve been developing groundbreaking staffing solutions and sharing our expertise with other agencies so they can replicate our success. Looking ahead to the future, we’re committed to creating an even better work environment based on the feedback we receive from our dedicated Direct Support Professionals. Staffing Schedules

Delivering the best care starts with having the right programs and staffing schedules. Since there’s no one-size-fits-all staffing solution, we’ve developed several schedules that work holistically to ensure that we meet the needs of our residents while providing our staff with stability.

Our most popular schedule is the 3-day workweek, which gives our Direct Care Professionals flexibility and freedom. In addition to the 3-day workweek, we also offer the traditional 5-day workweek, part-time work, and our unique live with or live by options. Building off our scheduling success, we’ve been working tirelessly to develop more innovative solutions aimed at improving our Direct Support Providers’ work and personal lives.

DSP Life-Enhancement Initiative – The Future of Goodlife Staffing

The DSP Life-Enhancement Initiative is part of GoodLife’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our Direct Support Professionals and elevating our quality of care. As part of this initiative, we are expanding benefits, improving work-life balance, developing strategic career paths with more advancement opportunities, and creating a positive culture around our nonprofit’s mission. Expanded Shelf of Innovative and Functional Benefits for DSPs

Our customizable options will give Direct Support Professionals the power to design a benefits package that suits their individual needs. Some of the benefits include housing subsidies, transportation vouchers, student loan paybacks, and super-store memberships. In addition, we’ll offer a concierge service to help our team members navigate public funding and other resources so they get more services while stretching their dollars further.

Better Work-Life Balance

It’s no secret that the care industry requires long hours and a lot of hard work, so improving the work-life balance for our Direct Support Professionals is a top priority. We’re committed to offering our team more flexible work schedules and better pay while providing outstanding service to our residents. We’re always on the lookout for new ways to help our team maximize their time, energy, and resources.

GoodLife offers strategic career paths for Direct Support Professionals that allow for advancement and the opportunity to earn more. We also provide a robust in-house training program that helps Direct Support Professionals gain the skills and knowledge needed to move up the career ladder.

Another key part of this initiative is ensuring that Direct Support Professionals feel a strong connection with GoodLife’s non-profit mission and culture. We’re creating more opportunities for Direct Support Professionals to engage with our mission, vision, goals, and values. This includes having them share ideas and provide feedback on ways in which we can better meet their needs. We’re actively working to improve communication between our staff and leadership team to bridge potential gaps. GoodLife is also exploring ways to better recognize and reward Direct Support Professionals’ hard work and dedication.
